Multi-source fusion and federated searches are where our technologies and processes truly shine. Our engineering domain based multi-source fusion project captures and represents documents from SBIR awards, U.S patents, and a huge number of technical engineering publications in a single conceptual space. We classify this data based upon a commercial engineering taxonomy that we enhanced and tailored to suit our interests, thus enabling us to demonstrate the power of our tools. Users can perform faceted searches, keyword based searches and ‘walk’ our enhanced taxonomy or in any combination across the whole data set via a sinlge query or set of queries. The resulting documents returned are focused specifically in a given topic area that reflects the particular schemata of the sub-set of the engineering discipline to which we tailored the multi-source fusion project.
